You can setup Insurance Companies in the system. Doing so will give you easy access when setup Clients and in your Reporting. Setting up an Electronic Payer will add that payer to a "favorites" list for your Electronic Payers.

Setup Electronic Payers
There are three sections in the Electronic Insurance Setup: Insurance Company Information, Special Overrides to Practice Setup, Session Reminder Flags.
Insurance Company Information
- Click Codes Setup from left menu and select Insurance Companies.
- In ELECTRONIC Insurance Companies section, click + Add Insurance Company.
- Your default Clearing house displays at top. This determines which Payer list you can access.
- Click Company dropdown and select appropriate Payer.
- Accept Assignment - Defaults to Yes. If you are billing as an out of network provider, you may change this to No.
Special Overrides to Practice Setup
Any information entered in this section will override any information entered in the Practice Setup.
- Print Practice Name
- Defaults to No, which prints the Provider name as the Billing Provider in Box 33.
- Select Yes if you need to use the Company name as the Billing Provider Name.
- It will also send a claim through with the Billing Entity as an Organizations
- Suppress Taxonomy
- Defaults to Yes meaning Taxonomy number will not be on the claim.
- Select No if you are billing to Medicaid or an Insurance Payer that requires the Taxonomy number.
NOTE: Ensure that the Taxonomy number is entered in the Practice Setup next to the NPI Number.
- Use Office NPI - If an Office NPI is entered in the Office Locations Setup and this drop-down box is Yes, the Office NPI (from Office Locations) will print in block 32a.
Session Reminder Flags
This is a reminder field for you. Internal use only. Any information entered here will be available in the Client Session when you hover over Insurance Note. If you want to enter this on a Claim, you must MANUALLY enter it. After you enter it and Save the session, the system will remember it when you enter the next Client Session.
