Send Charges to an Account

Permissions: You need Billing permission to send charges to a billing account.

Charges are sent to billing accounts if the billing code is set to skip claims or if a claim is not automatically created for the appointment. However, you may want to manually send charges in one of the following circumstances:

  • The charge line associated with that appointment was accidentally deleted from the statement.
  • A claim was accidentally created and the charges need to be sent to the account instead.
  • The amount on the statement is different from the current charges on the daily note.

To send charges to an account:

  1. Go to Billing > Billing Accounts.

  2. Click the billing account where you want to send charges.
     
  3. To the right of the visit, click the Send Charges to Account icon checkout_icon.png.

    TIP! Not able to click the icon? You can only send charges to an account if the therapist has submitted charges on the daily note and the charges are not currently on a claim.

  4. To confirm that you want to send the charges to the billing account, click the Send Charges button. 

The charges will appear on the billing account's Statement tab.
