PERMISSIONS REQUIRED: You need the Billing permission to refresh a claim.
Refreshing a claim resets any fields you've made changes to, copies current information into each field, and runs claim rules again. For example, if you change the patient's address after a claim has been created, you can refresh the claim to automatically fill in the current address.
NOTE: If you have made a change directly on the claim form, refreshing the claim will cause you to lose those changes.
- Open the claim you want to refresh.
- In the upper right, click the Refresh button.
NOTE: You can only refresh a claim in the Reviewing, Rejected, Not Paid, or Paid statuses.
- Select the sections of the claim you want to refresh, and click the Refresh Claim button.
The claim's fields will be updated, and its status will be changed to Reviewing.
