Manage Saved Payment Methods

PERMISSIONS:  You need the Billing permission to delete a saved payment method.

 

You can add and remove saved payment methods for your patients under the Billing tab.

 

The system processes payments using two different secure payment processors: Vantage, and Ensora Payments with Stripe.  The steps you will take to manage your saved payment methods depend on your payment processor.

You can add and delete saved payment methods for your patients under the Billing tab.

 

Add a Saved Payment Method

  1. From the Billing tab menu, click Accounts and then select Billing Accounts.
  2. Click on the Name of the Billing Account.
  3. Click the Payment Methods button.

  4. Click Add Payment Method.

  5. Enter A Name for This Payment Method, then enter payment information. 

    NOTE:  The name your enter for the payment method displays in the Saved Payment Methods list.

  6. Click Submit.

  7. The new payment method and displays in the Saved Payment Methods list.

    NOTE:  Click Set as Default to set that payment method as the patient's default payment method.

Remove a Saved Payment Method

  1. From the Billing tab menu, click Accounts and then select Billing Accounts.
  2. Click on the Name of the Billing Account.
  3. Click the Payment Methods button.

  4. Click Remove to remove a payment method.

Manage Saved Payment Methods: Vantage

You can delete saved payment methods for your patients under the Billing tab.

If you no longer need a patient's saved payment method to process payments, you can delete it from their billing account. This does not affect payment methods saved by portal users on the patient portal.

  1. Go to BillingAccountsBilling Accounts.
  2. Click the billing account you're working with.
  3. In the lower left, click the Payment Methods button.
  4. To the right of the payment method, click the delete icon delete_icon.png.
  5. Click the Delete Method button.
