PERMISSIONS REQUIRED: In order to access these settings, you will need permission to Add, Modify and Remove Waitlist Clients and Client Dependents.
To use Waitlists in Bed Management, there must be at least one Waitlist created. For instructions on how to create or edit a Waitlist, see the Maintain Settings in Bed Management article.
Add an Individual to a Waitlist
- Go to Bed Management > Waitlists.
- From the Waitlist drop-down menu, select the Waitlist you would like to add an individual to.
- Click Add.
- By default, the currently selected Waitlist will display in the Waitlist field.
- If this selection is incorrect, click Cancel and select another Waitlist from the drop-down menu.
- If this selection is incorrect, click Cancel and select another Waitlist from the drop-down menu.
- From the Client Status drop-down menu, make a selection.
- If Pending Client is selected, enter a name in the Pending Client Name field.
- If Client is selected, begin typing the client's name or number in the Client field. At least three characters need to be entered to generate options.
- Select the Client's name.
- If Pending Client is selected, enter a name in the Pending Client Name field.
- Select a Priority in the Client Prioritization Criteria drop-down menu to determine where the individual will fall in the ranked order of the Waitlist.
- Enter any applicable Notes.
- Click Save.
Waitlist Display
If the individual is a client, you will see the following:

Click the carrot on the right side and the following additional information will display.
- The date the client was added to the Waitlist.
- The client's current payer.
- The client's diagnosis.
- Any notes added to the Waitlist for this client.
- How many days the client has been on the Waitlist.
The three dots on the right side for an individual will give you these options:
