In order to take data in the app, a Target must first be created, opened, and at an In Treatment status in the Portal.

NOTE: To learn more about creating Targets in the Portal, please visit Targets: Create, Rename, Delete, Clone or Move.

After you select your Student in the App, you will be brought to the Student Dashboard. From here you can view your Playlists (such as BaselineAll TargetsMaintenance, and any Custom Playlists you have created). You may adjust your Session Settings and Select Programs to Run as shown in Data Collection Overview (Skill Acquisition Playlists & Behavior Reduction).

Run Playlist Session to Score Data

  1. Click the arrow to the right of the Playlist you want to use to start the Session and the Targets screen will display.

  2. Select the Interval Target you wish to score by tapping it on the Program Target List on the left-hand side.
You will see a note indicating that the Target belongs to an Interval Schedule that is not running. And to Start the Interval Schedule to score the target.

  3. Scroll up to the Interval Schedules section at the top left.
Click the Start button to begin the Interval Schedule that is linked to your Whole/Partial Interval Target.

  4. From this screen, you can click on the Checkbox if the designated target occurred during the current interval.

NOTE: If doing Partial Interval recording you can check the Checkbox whenever this occurs during the interval. If using Whole Interval recording, wait until the Interval Timer has reached 00:00 on Observe. If you have the Portal Settings set up to have a Record Observation period, you will see the interval timer change from Observe to Record and you can select if it occurred during the entire Interval or leave it blank if it did not.

  5. The second way you can take data is if you scroll down to the original Interval Target and click the checkbox there. Follow the same recording procedure as mentioned in step 4, above.

NOTE: You will see a Play icon indicating that a timer is currently running for this target.

  6. In the Interval Schedule screen, click Stop when finished.

NOTE: If you leave the checkbox unchecked, Catalyst will count this Interval as a non-occurrence.

  7. Click Save to save the data.

NOTE: If the User has the Portal Setting for that interval schedule to automatically stop after a certain number of intervals, then the timer will stop and no additional data can be taken. However, you will still need to go to the Interval Schedule screen to Save the data.
