Partial Interval Behavior measures whether a Behavior occurred at any point within a specified time interval and is graphed as a percentage of intervals in which the Target Behavior was observed. To take any Behavior data in the app, you must first create the Behavior in the Portal with the desired Recording Type (Frequency, Rate, Duration, Momentary Time Sample, Partial Interval). This article displays the steps to record a Partial Interval Behavior in the app.
Record Partial Interval Behavior in the App
- Open desired Student Dashboard.
- Click the arrow next to any Playlist.
- Tap the Behaviors button on the top menu.
- Tap the Interval button at bottom of the screen.
- Tap the Start button to begin Partial Interval Recording.
If Behavior occurs within the Partial Interval recording window, tap the checkbox.NOTE: You can leave the Interval Timer running and go on to other screens in the app. If you have the setting (in the Portal | Student | Setup | Settings | Interval Recording) for "Play Sound At End Of Interval" set to "Yes", you will hear a beep at the end of each Interval to prompt the user to record any behaviors (back in this Interval tab), if any occurred during that interval.
- Click Stop to stop the counter and click Save to save the data.
NOTE: To view Per Behavior Partial Interval Data in the Catalyst Portal, access the Behaviors subtab from the Behavior Reduction tab and click Graph.
