The ABC Data collection in the app allows you to collect data on behaviors whether they have been created ahead of time in the Portal or as they arise. You can create Behaviors (Antecedents, Consequences, etc.) in the Portal for use with the ABC data collection, but you can also add these manually in the app. So, for example, if you added "School" and "Playroom" as Locations for ABC data in the Portal, you can still add "Park" as a location in the app if that is a new needed location.
Recording Behaviors via the ABC Data screen allows users to capture more information about the events surrounding the behaviors, such as linking Antecedents and Consequences to these Behaviors, as well as indicating the Date/Time, Duration, Severity, Group Size, and Location of the Behavior event. This is separate from collecting behavioral data on the Behaviors tab for your Behavior Reduction Targets. It is mainly used to give additional information on a Target Behavior or on novel behavior to help determine functions and patterns in behavior.

Collect ABC Data on the App
- Open the desired Student Dashboard.
- Click the arrow next to any Playlist.
- Select the Behaviors button on the top menu.
- Tap the ABC button at bottom of the screen.
- Record ABC Data screen displays.
Record ABC Event Data
These fields are optional. Select desired Event Data.
NOTE: Date and Time default to the moment the user opens the Behaviors tab but can be changed if needed.
- Date - Tap Date to change from the default.
- Time - Tap Time to change from the default.
- Duration - Tap Min and/or Sec to set the Duration.
- Severity - Select from dropdown choices.
- Response - Select from dropdown choices.
- Group Size - Select from dropdown choices.
Record Behaviors
Select checkboxes for Behaviors that occur during the Behavior event.
NOTE: Add additional Behaviors at any time by clicking the +Add Behaviors button.
Record Antecedents
Select checkboxes for Antecedents that occur before the Behavior event.
NOTE: Add additional Antecedents at any time by clicking the +Add Antecedents button.
Record Consequences
Scroll down and select checkboxes for Consequences that followed the Behavior event.
NOTE: Add additional Consequences at any time by clicking the +Add Consequences button.
Record Location Data
Scroll down and select checkboxes for Locations that occur during the Behavior event.
NOTE: Add additional Locations at any time by clicking the +Add Location button.
Add Notes
Scroll down and tap in Notes to enter any desired Notes.
IMPORTANT: Once all data for ABC Event has been recorded, be sure to tap Save button at the top right of the screen. To view the information you collected here, in the Portal see ABC - Event Graphing.
