This bulletin is for system users who create Eligibility Verification (270) Files.
With the next update, the system will have the capability for multiple Eligibility Profiles. The changes to the setup and verification process are below.
Setup:
On the Insurance Master screen, the Eligibility Verification set up will be under MoreInfo.
If the facility only has one Eligibility Profile, then the Profile will be defaulted. The user will check the box to set up this payor address for eligibility, as indicated to the right.
Verification Process:
When a user accesses the Eligibility Verification screen under Billing>Eligibility Verifications, there will be an Eligibility Profile filter. If the Facility only has one Eligibility Profile, this profile will be the default.
If multiple profiles exist, the user can select the desired profile, as well as any other filters, and click Apply to refresh the screen.
NOTE: All current Profiles and Settings will remain unchanged when the Update is loaded. There will not be a need to make changes unless a second Eligibility Profile is needed.
