This article is a step by step instruction on how to upload documents to a patient account.
Anywhere in the system that the user sees Documents on the Ribbon Bar, a note or an attachment can be added to the patient account. The user can highlight the record and click the Note+ icon or the Attach+ icon.
When the user clicks the Note+ Icon the user will be taken to the Add Note Screen. Choose from the following information.
- Note Type - this table is customizable.
- Description - Optional.
- Enter the Note in the note section.
- Click Save.
- The user can change how the note looks by choosing different fonts.
The system will populate the Add Attachment screen where the user should choose the following.
- Attachment Type- this table is customizable.
- Description- Optional
- Click Select- this will take the user to the File Explorer on the User’s computer. The user should choose the desired document.
- Click Save.
Once the user has added the Notes or Documents they can view what has been added by following these steps.
- Click the patient Medical record number.
- When the admission Details tool tip box populates, click Document Mgr to open the Admission Related Document screen.
- Once the user is in the Admission Related Documents screen the user can see the notes and attachments that are on that patients account.
To open a note or attach; the user can click on the actual note or document and it will open.
Attachments can be printed out of the system once opened.
