Create Custom Prompt Code

Prompt Codes will tell the system how to graph and analyze student data.

Access Prompt Code Defaults from the Administration Menu in the Administration Section. 

1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the New Prompt Code link.
   
   
    
2. Enter the desired Name.
3. Enter an Abbreviation.
4. Click the Plot as Independent checkbox if this prompt will be scored as an independent (correct) response.

   IMPORTANT: Mark at least 1 prompt code as independent or your graphs will not display correctly.

5. Click Save and the new prompt code displays.
   
   
    
6. Finally, if desired, select appropriate checkboxes for which Target Types these prompt codes should appear.
7. Click Save Changes.
   
   

   NOTE: For further customization, prompt codes can be overridden at the Student and/or Target level.
