Patient Portal: Payments
The Payments area allows the patient to see the following:
We show the balance at the time of their last statement. This was done so that you do not have to worry about a patient seeing a balance from a case that is still being worked on and missing various insurance payments and adjustments. We show the balance that you sent them on their previous statement. There is a link they can click to view their last statement, a button to Make a Payment, as well as a list of their payments made in the last 30 days.
Clicking on ‘Make Payment’ opens up the secure credit card payment window. The credit card information is never entered directly into the portal, and it is not stored in the system.
