Set Up a Custom Expiration Date for Emailed Documents & Invoices

Permissions Required:  Users need the admin permission to set custom expiration dates.

 

Clinic admins can set up a custom expiration date for emailed documents and invoices. When a document reaches it's expiration date, it is automatically revoked and is no longer available to the recipient. An custom expiration date can be set anywhere between one and 30 days. If no custom expiration date is set, the system defaults to an expiration date of seven days.

 

  1. Click the Admin tab at the top of the screen.
  2. Click Basic Setup in the menu on the left.
  3. Click Clinic Options.

  4. Click the Edit General Settings button.

  5. In the Revoke Emailed Files field, enter the number of Days an emailed document will be available to the recipient before the document expires. 
  6. Click the Save General Settings button.
