What are the new password requirements?
Passwords must be a mixture of letters, numbers, and at least one upper case character and one special character. All user passwords will expire and require updating every 90 days. Password history will prohibit the re-use of the previous 10 passwords.
How am I supposed to remember this password?
It will be up to each user to remember the updated password. You may want to try and use a password manager, however, be sure to ensure compliance with your clinic's security policies prior to using one.
Can I lengthen and/or shorten the time the password will expire?
No, a clinic cannot “customize” the frequency of password expiration.
Do I need to take any action before my password expires?
No, the system will provide a prompt for users to change their password when it has expired. This will occur when the user logs in for the first time following the expiration.
