Add & Manage Patient Appointment Presets

PERMISSIONS REQUIRED:  You need the Admin permission to add, deactivate, reactivate and delete appointment presets.

 

Patient Appointment Presets help you save time when scheduling patient appointments by automatically filling in certain appointment information, including services, appointment type, duration and billing codes. You can also assign a color to the preset that will display on the schedule when you set the color filter to display preset colors. Once you have added patient appointment presets, you will be able to select them from the Presets field when scheduling new appointments.

Add & Edit a Patient Appointment Preset

 

  1. Click the Admin tab at the top.
  2. Click Advanced Setup.
  3. Click Appointment Presets.

  4. In the lower right, click the + Patient Appointment Preset button, or click the name of an existing patient appointment preset to edit that preset.

  5. Fill in preset Details

    Name: The name of the preset.

    Services: Indicates the service types this preset is intended for.

    Type: The appointment type that will be assigned by default when this preset is selected.

    Duration: The duration, in minutes, that will be set by default when this preset is selected.

    Color: The color that will display on these appointments if the calendar is set to view preset colors.

  6. Click the Billing Codes tab to search for and select Codes. Billing codes added to the appointment preset will appear on the appointment's associated documents when the preset is used to schedule the appointment.
    • You can search for and add multiple billing codes to the appointment preset. Codes that have been added will display in the box below the Codes search field.
    • To remove a billing code, click the black circle icon.
  7. Click the Save Patient Appointment Preset button.

Deactivate a Patient Appointment Preset

 

Deactivate a patient appointment preset to hide it from the list of presets available when scheduling an appointment. Active patient appointment presets display with black text on a white background on the patient appointment preset list. Inactive patient appointment presets display with dark gray text on a light gray background on the patient appointment preset list.

  1. Click the Admin tab at the top.
  2. Click Advanced Setup.
  3. Click Appointment Presets.

  4. To the right of the preset, click the Deactivate icon.

  5. Click the Deactivate Patient Appointment Preset button.

Reactivate a Patient Appointment Preset
 

Reactivate an inactive patient appointment preset to add it back to the list of presets available when scheduling an appointment. Active patient appointment presets display with black text on a white background on the patient appointment preset list. Inactive patient appointment presets display with dark gray text on a light gray background on the patient appointment preset list.

  1. Click the Admin tab at the top.
  2. Click Advanced Setup.
  3. Click Appointment Presets.

  4. To the right of the inactive preset, click the Reactivate icon.

  5. Click the Reactivate Patient Appointment Preset button.

Delete a Patient Appointment Preset
 

Permanently delete a patient appointment preset if it is not linked to any appointments. 

  1. Click the Admin tab at the top.
  2. Click Advanced Setup.
  3. Click Appointment Presets.

  4. To the right of the preset, click the Delete icon.

  5. Click the Delete Patient Appointment Preset button.
