Prescribers are asked to enter a valid home address as part of EPCS registration with Exostar. If the address entered is either not valid or not found in Experian records, the prescriber will be prompted to identity proof via webcam. In this process, the prescriber will schedule a webcam meeting with an Exostar proofing agent. The prescriber will show the agent required evidence of identity, then the agent will issue an activation code that will allow the prescriber to complete the identity proofing process.

To verify identity as part of this process, Exostar requires that the prescriber present either:

  • Two (2) Strong or Superior pieces of evidence
    OR
  • One (1) Strong or Superior piece of evidence and Two (2) Fair pieces of evidence

The table at the bottom of this article has examples of the types of documents that will be accepted. A national list of qualifying documents can be found on the NIST Website

NOTE: The Activation Code is valid for 30 days.
