Add a new Patient Case to a patient when you need to start a new course of therapy with the patient that will have its own documents, reminders, and goals.

NOTE: Therapists will have access to Patient Cases associated with their service type. Only users with Admin permissions can Create new Patient Cases for the Clinic.

If a patient is returning for the same type of therapy after being discharged, you can either reactivate a previously used patient case, or add a new patient case:

  • Reactivate a patient case to pick up where you left off the last time you saw the patient for that course of therapy. You can do this by scheduling a new appointment with that patient case.
  • Add a new case to start with a blank slate of goals and reminders for the patient.

Add a New Patient Case to a Patient

  1. Open the Patient Chart. See Working in the Patient Chart for more information.
  2. Click the Cases tab.
  3. Click the +Case button.

  4. Click the Case dropdown to select a case.

NOTE: The dropdown list displays the case name and the service types associated with that case.

  5. Click the Save Case button.

  6. Add Patient Case details as needed.
    • Click the Edit Case button to document Physician, Visit Frequency, Prescription Expiration Date, Start of Care Date, Last Assessment Date and Last Progress Note Date.
